We're proud to be partnering with America's Second Harvest for The Great Urban Race Tampa Bay. America's Second Harvest helps Tampa Bay's less fortunate who suffer from hunger. Since 1982, they've processed and distributed over 90 million pounds of food to those who need it most.

Why did you have fun participating in GUR?
Engaging with locals and having them participate with us to complete our assigned tasks and having a lot of fun while doing it.
How do you know each other?
We’ve been married eight years.
What’s your favorite part about participating in the 2008 GUR?
It gave me an opportunity to solve challenges while sharing time outdoors with the person I love the most - my best friend. We had a GREAT time. We were able to turn to each other throughout the entire race. We race in 5K's and while we enjoy those it is an event where we see each at the starting line and then not again until the finish line, with GUR we worked together as a team to succeed.
Why would you recommend The Great Urban Race?
It is a great way to see a city and learn some things you never knew while making friends along the way all while getting in some exercise. What a great way to spend the day!
Thoughts about The Great Urban Race?
It was challenging and at times frustrating (as we sometimes did not agree with each other about how to solve the clues) but the overall experience has stayed with us all year and we are counting down the days until the 2009 competition. We really a had a GREAT time, hands down it was the best race we have ever competed in.
We’ll be kicking off the 2009 season in Cigar City again! Teams will find checkpoints, complete challenges and navigate the streets of areas like Ybor City, The Channel District and Downtown.
$10,000 Grand Prize at the New Orleans National Championship!
