Congratulations to all of the participants who made Great Urban Race Houston such a huge success! 700 racers came out to Lucky’s Pub seeking adventure and wearing lots of creative costumes.

Participants navigated the streets of Houston and completed a variety of unique activities, from a Miller 64 sponsored clue to kayaking blindfolded at Allen’s Landing, completing a Segway challenge and this year’s Feature Clue: bravely answering amphibian trivia at the Tellepsen Family YMCA while wearing a large snake around their neck!

A special thanks to everyone who donated needed supplies to the Ronald McDonald House of Houston. Your donations made a huge difference to families in need and they truly appreciate your efforts!

At first place SRSS came dashing through the finish line with an astounding time of 1:37! TooCoolRacing.com came in second, crossing the finish line at 1:48! Taller and Tallest locked in third place with a time of 1:50 to round out our Top Three. These teams also receive a free entry to the Las Vegas Championship where they will compete for the $10,000 prize!

The costume contest was full of great get-ups, and the audience enjoyed a show from all of our Best Costume Nominees. After an intense clap-off between some awesome costumes, Enchanted won without adoubt! Thanks to everyone who dressed in costume and added to the spirit of the day.

Thank you to our volunteers, Ronald McDonald House of Houston, Lucky’s Pub staff, our clue locations and all of our phenomenal participants. The GUR crew had an amazing time and we look forward to seeing everyone next year!
