Great Urban Race’s second time in Toronto was a huge success!  More than 500 participants solved 12 clues throughout Toronto with fantastic costumes and high energy!

Participants were sent to unique locations all around the Toronto area. Activities included identifying jelly bean flavours at Sugar Mountain, playing the piano at Steve’s Music, ducplicating unique statues at Bau-Xi Chi and showing off their dance moves at The Street Dance Academy.

Many thanks to all of you who donated items to our local charity partner, Fort York Food Bank. Your donations are very much appreciated and will help feed locals in need.

Congratulation to our first place team, TheRoccolino, for their winning time of 2:08! The Well Cut Jibs took second at 2:22 and Stoop Kids followed immediately behind also with a finish time of2:22. All three teams will receive a free entry to our New Orleans National Championship where they will compete for a $10,000 grand prize!

Also, a huge thanks goes to everyone who participated in the St. Jude hero program, your donations to St. Jude are greatly appreciated! Be on the look out for your items which will be mailed to you shortly.

We had a GREAT turnout for the costume contest! All participants had creative and outrageous costumes, but ultimately the crowd decided and the Lederhoser's prevailed. Thanks to everyone who dressed in costume and added even more excitement to the day.

A special thanks to our Delta Delta Delta volunteers, all of our fantastic clue locations and our enthusiastic participants. The GUR crew had a phenomenal time and hope to see you all in 2012.
