Participants navigated the streets of Phoenix and completed a variety of unique activities, from practicing partner yoga at SuTRA Midtown Yoga to making their own puppet at the Great Arizona Puppet Theatre, completing an art-themed Scrabble challenge at Warehouse 1005 and solving a scent clue at Lola’s Coffee!
A special thanks to everyone who donated much needed supplies to the Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix. Your donations made a huge difference to families in need and they truly appreciate your efforts!

Thank you to our St. Jude volunteers, the Ronald McDonald House of Phoenix, Sliders’ staff, our clue locations and all of our phenomenal participants. The GUR crew had an amazing time and we look forward to seeing everyone next year!

How did you prepare for the race? | Printed out maps, wandered around downtown noting statues and stuff and we ate “Oops! All berries” for breakfast! |
What was your overall race strategy? | Call Kiri to solve some clues and catch a light rail while solving the rest |
Did anything go wrong during the race? | We had to back track because I mapped a point wrong |
What was your favorite clue? Why? | Spotting the differences in the posters it was challenging and gave us an opportunity to get ahead of some teams without having to run! |
What was the most memorable part of the day? | That the bus was on schedule! |
Any secrets to your success that you’d be willing to share? | Yes have someone at home to call for clue-solving help. Wear a costume; it makes strangers want to help you! |
