Congratulations to all of the participants who made Great Urban Race Minneapolis such a huge success!  Over 250 racers came out to Hubert’s Sports Bar & Grill seeking adventure and wearing lots of creative costumes.

Participants navigated the streets of Minneapolis and completed a variety of unique activities, from learning how to make balloon animals to perfecting a Vikings cheer at the Metrodome, to completing an origami challenge at Gallery 13!

A special thanks to everyone who donated much needed supplies to Free Arts Minnesota.  Your donations made a huge difference and they truly appreciate your efforts!

At first place Spork 1 came dashing through the finish line with an astounding time of 1:57:01Spork 2 came in a very close second, crossing the finish line at 1:57:02!  Those Cargo Shorts! locked in third place with a time of 2:03 to round out our Top Three.  These teams also receive a free entry to the New Orleans Championship where they will compete for the $10,000 prize!

A big thank you to our St. Jude fundraising winner, Spork 2 and congratulations to our St. Jude Challenge winner, Spork 1!  Another congratulations goes out to our Top Family Team Bootheel Babes with a time of 2:15!

The costume contest was full of great costumes and the audience enjoyed a show from all of our Best Costume Nominees.  After an intense clap-off between some awesome costumes, Sushi Sisters took home the title! Thanks to everyone who dressed in costume and added to the spirit of the day.

Thank you to our St. Jude volunteers, Free Arts Minnesota, Hubert’s staff, our clue locations and all of our phenomenal participants.  The GUR crew had an amazing time and we look forward to seeing everyone next year!
