Our first stop in Minneapolis was a memorable one! Over 315 racers ran through a quick race that included quite a fun-loving group! From downtown to uptown racers devoured pizza, solved a few difficult riddles and practiced balancing skills.

 

Terrence and Catherine Lee of team Oozing Monkeys touched the finish mat a full 24 minutes ahead of the next team in a time of 1:17!

 

 

 

Globo Gym Purple Cobras finished second in 1:41. 

 

 

Chosen Ones came in third with a time of 1:42.

 

Presidential Racers won best overall pictures.

 

 

Best costume went to Laker Girls.

Champions Interview (Terrence and Catherine Lee of Oozing Monkeys):

 

What was your overall race strategy?

 

Get into the lead, stay in the lead.  Thankfully, it worked.

 

Did you study anything before the race?  If so, what?

 

We did.  We saw photos of people doing the plank walk in the other cities.  So for weeks, we've been practicing our plank walking skills in loops around our 'hood.  It paid off big time.

 

Did you have any arguments?

 

Almost got into a fight with some cyclists on the road, but that's probably not what you're talking about…

 

How do you know each other?

 

We got to talking about this question…  turns out, we're married.

 

Which clue did you do first?  Why?

 

We went to Elliot Park first because we love apples.  Plus we knew where it was.

 

Do you have any secrets for your success?

 

Yes, but we're not stupid enough to reveal them.
