We had the fastest race of the 2008 season in Seattle - great job to the enthusiastic group of 300 racers who ran through this exciting race holding huge fish, going down slides, and getting tattooed with the GUR logo!

Thanks to Chris at Sport Restuarant for being a great host for the event and to Rehab Energy Drinks for being a fun sponsor!

Annie Terry and Ian Lawson of Team His Club, Her Raquet touched the finish mat in 1st place in our all-time fastest time of 1:28!

Nineteen seconds later, Weiler and Clark Expeditions finished second!

One minute later Helicopter Soup finshed third to round out the top three teams.

Best costume prizes went to Gnomaphobes and Troup 360:

Best Overall Photos went to Dance Off Pants Off.

We'd also like to give a special mention to Double Trouble for their hilarious photos.

The top family team took 5th place overall - congrats on a great race to Avenging Narwhals!

Thanks to all the Seattle participants - we look forward to seeing another outstanding group in 2009!

Champions Interview (His Club, Her Racquet):

What was your overall race strategy?

Run!  We ran everywhere, laughed a lot, and Annie used her loud voice (and short skirt?) to our advantage.

Did you study anything before the race?

Nope. We planned on getting maps, but sort of dropped the ball.  Someone was more concerned with our outfits than our race strategy...

How do you know each other?

Warner and Buffy attend the same country club.  Ian and Annie date.

Which clue did you do first?

Crossword puzzle.  Then the slide.  They were close and quick.

Any secrets for your success you want to share?

We were mostly focused on having fun and being goofballs.  We kind of like talking to strangers.  And we really enjoy running.
