Congratulations to the 108 racers that came out to participate in Great Urban Race San Antonio! It was an awesome day, complete with what turns out to be good weather and lots of creative costumes!
Participants navigated the streets of San Antonio and completed a variety of exciting activities! Participants completed a challenging fitness session with Spectrum Fitness, solved a murder mystery at Cameo Theatre, and crafted and flew their own paper airplanes for free Chipotle burrito coupons at the Spanish Governor's Residence!
A special thank you to everyone who donated much needed food goods to the San Antonio Food Bank. Your donations made a huge difference and they truly appreciate your efforts!
The first place team was We are Rinners with an astounding time of 1:54! Team Schwab crossed the finish line at 2:01 followed closely by Bean Cheese with a time of 2:05 to round out our top three.
Congratulations to Leaping Lady Leprechauns, our Top Family Team, who crossed the finish line at a time of 3:03. Great job!
After an intense clap-off between some outstanding costumes, the Costume Contest was won by Sweatin to the GUR, who stole the show with their fantastic costumes and wigs. Thanks to everyone who dressed in costume and added to the spirit of the day!
A huge thank you to our St. Jude Top Fundraisers, The A Team! Together all of our San Antonio St. Jude Heroes raised an amazing total of $711.08.
Thank you to all of our St. Jude volunteers, the San Antonio Food Bank, Chipotle, our clue locations and all of our phenomenal participants. The GUR crew had an amazing time in San Antonio!
